Cyclones also called as centrifugal separator, are used to separate particles like bran and dust from air..

Working Principle:

  1. A Centrifucgal Blower with a dynamically balanced impeller when operated increases the velocity of air and creates a strong air stream which transports particles from the equipment to the cyclone.
  2. Due to the high velocity of air stream, the particales, due to its mass, are pushed to the outer edges as a result of centrifugal force.
  3. Incoming air is automatically forced to adopt a fast-revolving spiral movement, called double vortex. This double spiral movement consists of an outer stream, which flows downwards in a spiral mainly particles, and an inner stream - air, which flows upwards in a spiral.
  4. The particles in the air are forced to the outer edges and leave the separator via a collection device fitted to the bottom of the separator.
