Length grader are designed to classify and segregate grains on bases of size. The indented cylinders allow separation of broken, depending on the indent size, from whole grain. Slow rotation of the cylinder & Unique indent shape allows efficient and precise segregation.
Working Principle:
- Grains are fed from the top inlet into the indented cylinder. The cylinder will rotate slowly picking up the broken / small sized grains in the indents.
- The whole grain will drop down into the cylinder due to gravity.
- The indents will carry the broken/small products, which will fall in to a specially designed through with screw conveyor. A clearing nylon brush will ensure every broken grain is ejection from the indents and no bran deposits in indents.
- Output of whole grain and broken will be through separate outlets.
- Based on the indent cylinder configurations, broken grains can be further segregated as desired in the similar flow process.
